The rumour quickly spread that a cheating man had died after he got stuck in his lover’s punani. And a crowd of about 2 000 people gathered at Dena Court in Yeoville, Joburg. The police had to be called. People were allegedly pepper sprayed and the amaBerethe chased people away with sjamboks. Many people claimed the police fired rubber bullets. Image Priscilla Ndlovu (34) who claims to be a resident at the same flats told Daily Sun they heard screams from the room where the woman stays on Thursday night. “At first we thought it was just the screams of sexual pleasure, but it turned to be screams for help,” said Priscilla. She said they called the security who forced the door open and saw the naked man on top of the naked woman pleading for help to be separated, but nobody could force them apart.” She said everyone was shocked and afraid of what they saw. “We always hear of such things happening but we have never seen it,” she said. A family member of the husband of the cheating wife said the husband had been complaining about his cheating wife. “He complained she was going out with his friend,” said the woman. “I think he locked his wife to catch the man she’s cheating with.” She said in Zimbabwe, where they come from, it is a common way of catching cheating men and women. “No one will separate them until the husband comes back from Zimbabwe to unlock them,” she said. A Zimbabwean who spoke to Daily Sun said locking a woman with muthi was a common way of catching and punishing cheating lovers in their country. By Friday morning, when the crowd saw the ambulance at the flats they chanted: “We want to see them! Show us the cheaters!” Cops were kept busy keeping the crowd at bay. Three streets were blocked off, causing major traffic jams and motorists had to use alternative routes. The ambulance finally raced off at high speed. It is not known if the couple were inside. Neither the police nor the paramedics could confirm if the two were taken to hospital or not. Sangoma Mathabo Mofokeng said husbands put muthi in their wives’ punani to lock their women. “There is muthi that is used by some men to catch cheating couples,” she said.

Amaechi ‘Slapped’ Fani-Kayode On Channels Television Live

The Rivers State Governor and Director General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, and a former Minister of Aviation and Director of Media and Publicity of Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, The Rivers State Governor and Director General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, and a former Minister of Aviation and Director of Media and Publicity of Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, The Rivers State Governor and Director General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, and a former Minister of Aviation and Director of Media and Publicity of Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, targeted diatribes at each other Sunday, exchanging abuses on television. Messrs Amaechi and Fani-Kayode were guests on a Channels Television programme, Politics Today. Speaking first, Mr. Amaechi had dismissed Mr. Fani-Kayode as someone who “does not have credibility”. The Rivers Governor was responding to a question from anchor, Seun Okinbaloye, who quoted Mr. Fani-Kayode as alleging that the APC was planning to rig the forthcoming elections. In response, Mr. Amaechi said, “Fani-Kayode does not have credibility. If the right person speaks, then we will respond. Fani-Kayode lacks the credibility. Let’s move to another issues.” Mr. Fani-Kayode later came on the programme, following Mr. Amaechi’s departure. He responded angrily to Mr. Amaechi’s comments, saying the governor was not on the same intellectual and social level with him. “Perhaps, it is only in Nigeria that a man with his background, in spite of the things he did when he was young; in spite of the things he did when he was in the university, could become a governor. By the way he became governor without even winning an election,” Mr. Fani-Kayode said.

President Jonathan-Utmost care being taken to avoid harming civilians in offensive against Boko haram

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said Tuesday in Abuja that utmost care was being taken by the Federal Government to avoid collateral damage to the lives and properties of civilians as the military intensifies its ongoing offensive against Boko Haram. Speaking at an audience with the new South Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Noh Kyu-Duk, President Jonathan said that everything possible was also being done by the military to avoid human rights violations in the theatre of operations in the North Eastern states. “We are sticking to international best practices in prosecuting the war against terrorism and doing our best to ensure that we don’t have cases of human rights abuses in the North-East. “We are consistently monitoring the situation and have investigated previous reports of such abuse which were mostly blown out of proportion for political reasons. Our military has a reputation for discipline and we have insisted on that discipline and control for the safety of civilians in the North-East. “The purpose of the entire operation is to save our people from the brutal tyranny of Boko Haram, so we cannot tolerate human rights abuses or willfully impose further suffering on them,’’ President Jonathan said. The President also told Mr. Kyu-Duk that Nigeria’s entire security architecture was being reviewed, restructured and strengthened to ensure greater safety for Nigerians and foreign workers in all parts of the country. “We are inviting all our friends in the international community, particularly those that are more technologically advanced, to complement our efforts to build a more secure and prosperous country in which our people and foreigners can live in peace and safety,” President Jonathan told the new South Korean Ambassador. The President urged Mr. Kyu-Duk and his Indonesian counterpart, Mr. Harry Purwanto, who was also at the Presidential Villa to present his letters of credence, to work for the strengthening of existing trade and economic relations between Nigeria and their countries. The new ambassadors thanked President Jonathan for receiving them and assured him that they will do their best to promote stronger economic and cultural relations between their countries and Nigeria during their tenure in Abuja. Tinubu - Fear of EFCC made Fani-Kayode leave APC

A former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, says a former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, left the All Progressives Congress because the party desisted from influencing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to drop the charges against him. Fani-Kayode, who is the spokesman for the President Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, is currently standing trial before a High Court in Lagos for alleged money laundering. However, Tinubu in a statement by his media aide, Mr. Sunday Dare, noted that since Fani-Kayode returned to the Peoples Democratic Party, the case the EFCC had built against him had been weakened as 38 out of the 40 charges had been struck out. Tinubu said this while reacting to an allegation by Fani-Kayode that within six months of an APC government, Tinubu would order the party’s Vice-Presidential candidate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, to step aside, and he (Tinubu) would take control of the Presidency. He said, “Bola Tinubu helped build the great platform for change; he wholeheartedly supports the APC ticket because he believes it is the last best hope to rescue Nigeria from the disaster Fani-Kayode and his ilk will want to continue.
I pray Nigerians will not allow them to misgovern us a day past May 29. If Fani-Kayode pretends not to know of Tinubu’s efforts to build and support the APC, it comes as no surprise. Fani-Kayode tried before to be part of the party but left when he found out there was no room for his games. Because the APC could not help to free him from the EFCC and the aviation fraud, he ran away to the party that blocked the EFCC on his behalf.” Tinubu said the fact that Jonathan chose Fani-Kayode – who is in court for alleged financial impropriety – to be the image maker of his campaign organisation shows what the PDP stands for. He urged Fani-Kayode to continue to attack the APC presidential candidate, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) as the attacks were making Buhari more popular. He said, “That Fani-Kayode is the best a ruling party can present as a spokesman speaks volumes about the PDP. They are bereft of talent and character. They are filled with lies and chicanery. Fani-Kayode is simply the worst and most outspoken of a bad lot. However, we welcome his interventions. They are of such low quality and base character. His utterances frighten people but not in the way Fani-Kayode intended. “Instead of scaring people away from the APC, his work scares people that someone so unfit is so close to the seat of power, someone so unhinged is given free rein to spit bile and call that public discourse. One must wonder who is unbalanced, the misfit or he who hires him. Keep at it Fani-Kayode. Continue!” The APC leader said Fani-Kayode was known for peddling lies and urged Nigerians not to take him seriously. The former governor said the fact that Fani-Kayode could cook up such lies showed that the PDP was already imagining defeat. He said, “Fani-Kayode is not as smart as he thinks. If you read between the lines of his hysteria, you see another extreme sentiment: that of surging desperation. His statement indicates that even he now realises that his paymaster has lost to Buhari/Osinbajo. “The game is over. The whistle has blown. What the fantasy man seeks to do is change the game. He seeks to run against Tinubu in hopes the outcome will be better. Fani-Kayode now grasps at straws in the night wind.
