Buhari Prevented from Meeting Pope Francis after Late Arrival

The Nigerian mission inexplicably messed up the itinerary of President Muhammadu Buhari at the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York on Friday, TheCable can report. The president missed a very important event on Boko Haram and internally displaced persons (IDPs) and was also prevented from meeting with Pope Francis because he was not properly briefed by the Nigerian UN mission staff.
The pope delivered a speech at the general assembly on Friday at 10am. Not only was Buhari made to come in late to the meeting because of untidy arrangements, he also took a wrong gate rather than the one reserved for presidents and heads of state. He was subsequently prevented from seeing the pope by security operatives because of his late arrival.
Buhari came in while other presidents and heads of government had already lined up to shake hands with the pope, and he was prevented by security operatives from joining in. Presidency had sought to explain away the missed meeting as not being part of the official events lined up for the president.
“The meeting at which Nigeria was reportedly absent was not one of the official events of the United Nations for which President Muhammadu Buhari and his modest delegation are in New York,” Garba Shehu, a presidential spokesman, had said. But not only was it an official event, the focus was on the Lake Chad Basin and the effects of insurgency to which Nigeria’s full participation was expected.
The listed UN events had the item: “The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) will hold a side event on food security and humanitarian consequences of conflicts-driven displacement in the Lake Chad Basin region.” It was scheduled for 3pm US time (8pm Nigerian time), but the president’s programme prepared by the Nigerian mission did not list it as one of the events he should attend. The session was titled “Lake Chad Basin at A Cross Road: Addressing Urgent Humanitarian Needs in An Overlooked Crisis”. A high-level government representative of the Nigerian Government was expected to be at the event which was organised by the United Nations Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and chaired by Stephen O’Brien, undersecretary-general of the UN.
Witnesses to both incidents described as “embarrassing and unacceptable” the attitude of the Nigerian mission staff which led to media backlash back home and on the social media. The witnesses also blamed the presidential media team for rushing to the press to defend the president’s absence at a very crucial meeting whose discussion was on a matter in which Nigeria has been worst hit by the activities of the insurgents.
Meanwhile, the event Buhari eventually attended in place of the one on the insurgency was not only poorly attended but was full of protocol breeches, as the president was already seated before other speakers started coming in.

How DSS Forced Me To Sign Document Recanting ‘N7bn Bribe’ Allegation Against CAN – Borno Pastor

The Borno State-born pastor, Kallamu Musa-Dikwa,
who affirmed the allegation that President Goodluck
Jonathan gave the Christian Association of Nigeria,
CAN, N7 billion to support his re-election bid, has
cried out over threats to his life by operatives of
the Directorate of State Service (DSS).
While insisting that the Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor-led
CAN collected the said amount, Dikwa said the DSS
had forced him to sign a document which they
would use against him to prove to the entire world
that “the President (Jonathan) did not bribe CAN to
work against the presidential candidate of APC”,
Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)
Dikwa said the DSS planned to use the ‘document’,
which he was made to sign under duress in some
national dailies to portray him as telling lies against
the body of Christ.
“They forced me to sign and promise to link me up
with the CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, for
us to ‘settle’,” he said
The pastor claimed that all these were in addition
to pleas from other Christian leaders, especially the
Abuja CAN Chairman, to deny that the Christian
body collected the said amount (N7bn).
Speaking in Kaduna Thursday, Dikwa told
journalists that after the DSS Operatives had
treated him like a “common criminal”, they forced
him to sign a document to deny what he had said.
According to him, since he broke the news to
Nigerians of how the CAN collected N7bn to work
against Buhari, his life had been under threat.
He added that as soon as he finished addressing
members of the press on the alleged bribe, the DSS
invited him to its headquarters in Abuja and asked
him to say that CAN did not collect a dime from the
President.
The cleric said, “The DSS invited me to their office
in Abuja. They wanted to know who gave me the
information that CAN collected N7bn from Jonathan
and I told them.
“They said all the people I mentioned will be
invited. I told them to go ahead and invite them. I
even told them how the money was distributed.
“They also said they wanted to know whether the
opposition All Progressives Congress was the one
sponsoring me to tarnish the image of the CAN and
even mention Sam Nda-Isaiah (Publisher of the
Leadership Newspapers) and I told them my
relationship with him is not political, because since
2006, I have been with him. I told them he (Sam)
does not know anything about my revelation on the
said money.
“They also asked me what my connection was with
the APC presidential candidate, Maj. Gen.
Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and Governor Rotimi
Amaechi, and I told them there is nothing that
connect us. I told them whatever I said was done
for the love of my country.
“After sometime, they drafted a letter which said, ‘I,
Pastor Musa… the information I gave that the
President gave CAN money was false and that I
won’t do that again’.
“They said I should copy what they wrote in my
own hand writing. I have to do it because I was
alone with them and I felt they could harm me and
frame me up.
“They forced me to sign after writing what they
drafted. I wanted to refuse but I feared for my life”.

These Epistles, among many others provides some insightful outline of Prophet Gabriel Olubu Fakeye, born on 11th March 1936 at Imesi-Ile, in the Obokun North Local Government Area of Osun State. He received his Primary education at the Methodist School Imesi-Ile and in 1957, Prophet Fakeye left for Lagos State where he attended the Nigeria Railway School. He left Lagos in 1964 to England where he attended such technical institutions as Hackney Technical School of East London, South East Technical School Bourough Polytechnic, Northern Polytechnic and theExecutive Telecommunication Training College, Oxford, England.

He holds the Full Technological Certificate in Telecommunication and Electronics as well as a Higher Honor’s Diploma in Satellite Communications. He has held various offices including Higher Technical Officer, London Telecommunications. On his return, Prophet Fakeye was appointed to serve as one of those engaged in the building of the first satellite Earth Station at Lanlate and was also made the General Leader of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (Ayo Ni O) Surulere. Later in January 1973 Prophet Fakeye joined the Henry Stephen Group and was made the Telecommunications Engineer where he to rose to become the Group General Manager Electronics and Electrical.

He combined both appointments until May, 1989, when he resigned to undertake full time Evangelical vocation. In December, 1989, he was made the Chairman of Central Planning Committee of the entire Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church. Upon assumption of office, Prophet Fakeye declared the determination and commitment of the Central Planning Committee to build a virile, united, strong and spiritually sound Church Organization.

Since assuming the mantle of leadership, his committee has pursued very thoughtful policies and programmes directed at establishing a new spiritual, moral and social cultural order combined with a dynamic overseas policy of evangelism at several countries within the international community. At the National conference level, in 1991, Prophet Fakeye was made the coordinator of all Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Overseas. A blue-print that will usher in the glorious dawn in the Movement Church history has been approved. He arranged the visit that took the Spiritual Father, Late Pastor J. T. Agboola to America in 1966.

Under his leadership, relationship with other religious organization and other bodies outside Nigeria has greatly improved. Also, significantly is his historical feat of champion a peace and unity process in the Cherubim and Seraphim Organization worldwide. He maintains and rightly too that OAIC must accommodate all religion groups and that Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Nigeria is common name acceptable to all member of the unification council.

In recognition of his service to evangelism, Prophet Fakeye was conferred with one of the Nigeria’s Highest Religious Honor’s “The Sower Award” in 1980. He has received numerous other honors and awards from various civil organizations in Nigeria and from number of countries in Europe and America. He became the Conference Special Apostle in 1996 at Zaria and was also made a Special Adviser to the Baba Aladura. Prophet Fakeye has a passion for God’s work, happily married to Grace Adelokun Fakeye and are blessed with children. The clerics further enjoined Christians to regularly sing a song of faith which goes like, “You’ve been doing Your work, Father PERFECT Your work, You’ve been doing Your work in my life, Father perfect Your Work” adding that they should memorize Psalm 91 and make it their medicine. Speaking further on the prayer points, he noted that, “This year, let the manifestation of grace in 3-folds appear in my life, in Jesus name; this year, O Lord, move me by fire to a new level of GRACE in Jesus name; anointing for profitable creativity fall upon me now in Jesus name; this year, Let the fresh anointing of the Holy Ghost fall upon me in the name of Jesus; let the wickedness of the wicked EXPIRE!!! in the name of Jesus; O God Arise and over-answer my prayers this year in the name of Jesus and my body, hear the word of the lord reject infirmity in the name of Jesus. He stressed, “The sun of my life shall not listen to the voice of witchcraft in the name of Jesus; God shall make the right people to help me at the right time and at the right place in Jesus; O Lord, pass through the land in violent anger and slay the wicked who has made covenant with bad spirits to destroy; the period of mercy for the WICKED IS OVER!!!; O God Arise and judge every proud and arrogant leader this year, in the name of Jesus and Lord, when I pass through the water and flood, physically and spiritually, they shall not overflow me, in the name of Jesus. He concluded by reeling out fifteen D’s that would stand against the year as, “deceit, delay, defilement, despair, disobedience, disbelief, distraction, dishonesty, disappointment, discouragement, discord, doubts, double- mindedness, deadness and deafness. Joshua – SCOAN Also, the general overseer of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua during the candle light vigil held in honour of victims of the church building collapse in Lagos and which to usher in the New Year deliberately avoided his yearly prediction. While declaring Year 2015 as ‘The Year of Good Morning’, he tactically said the troubles in year 2014 might spill over to 2015 if Nigerians failed to live holy life. “If you are expecting a New Year, you must be pure in heart, if not, the troubled year of 2014 will continue in 2015. No matter what this New Year brings, if you are more of God, your trials are the soil in which your faith will flourish. According to him, “The freedom the Bible speaks of in John 8:36 is spiritual not physical, this liberation of your spirit is all you need to have the best year,” “You just need a Word from God to change the course of your life. God said, “I should give you the Word – Good Morning. Instead of saying: ‘Happy New Year’, say ‘Good Morning’. 2014 was the afternoon but now we are going to the morning. This Word is anointed”, he concluded. Pastor Enoch Adeboye- RCCG However, the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye divided his prophesy into four segments such as individual, international, RCCG and Nigeria. For individual, he said; “Those who fasted for 100 days last year, the Lord says the harvest for the 100 days fast will be given this year; Daddy says this year will be full of testimonies, those who have none before will have this year; Daddy says some of you will swim in the river of abundance this year; Daddy says there will be miraculous completion of projects; Daddy says there will be fulfillment of dreams; Daddy says there will be miraculous restoration and Daddy says the song of many will be – The Lord has been good to me.” Adeboye noted that scientific and medical breakthroughs will be many, particularly in the areas of insomnia- lack of sleep, dreams and brain disorders at the International level adding that Ebola Virus Disease would die out. “Daddy says all over the world insurgencies will be considerately weakened. He maintained that giants would rise up in all sectors of human endeavour adding that there would be a sudden rise of giants in Zion. “In 2015, nobody will doubt those who serve God; It will be clear that we are only in the world, not of the world; in 2015, my God will wipe away all your tears; There shall be no occasion for mourning or weeping; Throughout 2015, you are not permitted to bury anyone in your life because there shall be no more death; in 2015, some things that cause you sorrow will be far from you and in 2015, you will not need any medication to be healthy. Pastor William Kumuyi – Deeper Life The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi did not release fresh prophecy for the New Year. Earlier in December during a media briefing ahead of the Deeper Life Bible Church three-day crusade at Eiyenkorin in Ilorin, Kwara State he regretted that Nigerians misunderstood the power of prophesy insisting that Nigeria remains an indivisible entity. “Sometimes people misunderstood the power of prophecy and there are people who will make negative pronouncements. Pronouncements are not necessarily prophecies. Every utterance on Nigeria breaking up is a pronouncement made from observations and not prophecies. “I believe those who made those pronouncements based on some things they see or feel should say ‘they feel Nigeria may break up’ and not that God said that. Because if God could hear the voice of only Moses and spared Israel and they still exist over 3,000 years after, then God loves Nigeria and would not allow it to break up. He concluded by saying that, “God has a purpose for Nigeria. When people talk of division, the truth is that once you start the process, it never ends. Once you say, ‘people in the North, go your way and those in the South, go your way,’ there are other people who will also rise up to say they too want to go their own way even within you. God has anointed me to lead a revolution against Islamic jihadists – Bishop Oyedepo

A fiery video of Bishop David Oyedepo preaching at Living Faith Church has been uploaded to the internet in which Africa’s wealthiest clergymen angrily advocates death for the ‘Islamic demons’ in Northern Nigeria. “God has anointed me to lead a revolution against Islamic jihadists,” Oyedepo is seen heatedly shouting to his congregation in the YouTube clip. “If you catch anyone that looks like them – kill him! Kill him and pull out his neck. I will spill his blood on the ground. What nonsense!” “What Islamic demons,” the influential cleric continued, his entire message interspersed with loud ‘praying in tongues’. “If Nigeria waits for the church to rise, Nigeria will disappear as a nation. You mean government cannot protect people? What a mess… Even the president said they (Boko Haram) have infiltrated his government. To do what? Must the North continue to rule? What devils!” Oyedepo further offered a prayer seemingly supporting a split between Nigeria’s Muslim North and Christian South. “All the Northern forces that are sponsoring these uprisings and killings – I decree the curse of God upon them. Lord, if it is Your will to break up Nigeria – break it now!” The Winners Chapel Bishop, in his heated address, further implied that the censuses carried out in Nigeria were hugely inaccurate. “Where are the human beings? I wouldn’t be surprised if all the North is equal to Lagos! We have never had a successful census in this country.” He directly addressed the rumours that Boko Haram agents were targeting his church. “I was even told from reports that they were targeting this church. If you see anyone here, kill him. Kill him and spill his blood on the ground. I am saying that to you. What nonsense! What devils!” Oyedepo claimed he was sent by God ‘as a prophet of liberation’ to release Africa from the snare of Islamic terrorists. “Therefore, the roots of Boko Haram – whether from Sudan or Saudi Arabia – become rotten today! I stand today with every anointing on me and I declare the Boko Haram camp cursed! I declare their collaborators cursed! I decree their sponsors cursed!” According to Oyedepo, “I have called the fire too many times. I am privileged to be an expert in calling it. If I look at a witch with my kind of eyes, it is dead. There is no praying. If my eyes meet your eyes, the bigger will consume the smaller one.” Although there is no date on the sermon televised on Dunamis TV belonging to Abuja Pastor Paul Enenche, the clip was uploaded in November 2014. Oyedepo’s terse message comes at a time when tensions are already rising in view of the upcoming Nigerian election in February 2015 which will pit former Head of State General Muhammadu Buhari against incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.

Nigeria’s controversial Catholic priest, Father Camilius Ejike Mbaka has asked President Goodluck Jonathan to quit office honourably, saying that the message is from the Oracle of the Holy Spirit. In a new year message to his flock, at the Adoration Ground in Enugu, eastern Nigeria, Mbaka said the Holy Spirit told him that Nigeria is at the brink of change, following the bad leadership provided in the last six years by President Jonathan.
